I finally broke down and bought a binder

I've resisted taking the "leap" into this couponing method- the binder and clipped coupons. However, in my experience so far with the filing method I have, this new method will save me a lot more money.

I got a binder and a package of baseball card holders to go in the binder to hold the coupons. I basically got it free on Amazon, using the gift cards I've been saving up from searching through Swagbucks.com. Seriously- I had $20 saved up. I paid $7 for the order and since it was over $25 the shipping was free. (If you're not using swagbucks, start now)

It's here and I'm putting the coupons in. Love it so far!

Savvy Shopper

I attended a Savvy Shopper class tonight. The best part about it is that I was able to get a newspaper subscription at a great discount. The Daily Herald will now be delivering 5 Sunday papers to me for about $18 a month! For those of you who are couponers, you know that's a great deal! For those who aren't couponers, there's just no reason to get multiple copies of the paper :) But you may want to be consider taking up couponing, it's very lucrative.

The special deal is only available if you attend a Savvy Shopper class. The info I got at the class was also very valuable. Feel free to drop by their website (google utah savvy shopper to find it) and see if it has some information that will be useful for you.

Happy clipping,
Bonnie

Incredible deal on fresh fruits and vegetables!

I've found a great deal that I want to share with everyone! It's a food co-op. Now, I'm not familiar with the term "co-op" and what that means, so I decided I'd just try it and see what I thought. I paid $15 on a Monday and on Saturday I picked up my produce. There were 5 different types of fruits, at least, and 5 different types of vegetables. Easily $35 worth of stuff and it was the best of each item that I've had in a long time. There were 5 or 6 palmellos- I've never had those before. They were yummy and we ate them all very quickly.

To try it out, go to bountifulbaskets.org and check it out. You pay for a Saturday morning pickup the previous Monday-Tuesday. If you have any questions, please post them on this blog or email me. I'd love to answer what I can and find out what I don't know from the co-op. I will be participating in this co-op every week, except for weeks that I find I have a surplus of produce and can't use anymore. That happened this week- we're finishing up last week's bounty :)

Happy shopping,
Bonnie
